Our water damage assessments begin with a structural inspection to look for visible signs of water damage, wet building materials, elevated humidity and other conditions caused directly by the water loss. During our structural inspection we identify causation then determine if any mold or bacteria sampling is needed to identify if there is an exposure risk to the building occupants. After we analyze all of our findings, we email our water damage assessment reports to you within 48 hours. Our reports include a summary of our findings, categorization, causation, recommendations, and a water damage restoration protocol. The Water Restoration Protocol is a step by step remediation plan complete with a visual aid floor plan. The protocol will explain what work needs to occur to get the areas cleaned up and remediated properly.
LAQ will take a combination of on-site bacteria samples – air, wipe, and bulk samples – and will offer complete data analysis and interpretation of the cultured samples to determine the possible health risks associated with the contaminated water.
LAQ also conducts Post Remediation Verification inspections to give you peace of mind that your building has been returned to safe occupancy conditions and proper drying & sanitization has occurred. These inspections may include mold and bacteria testing.
To help determine the possible health risks from the water damage, testing for pathogens (disease causing microorganisms) and bacteria such as total coliforms, fecal coliforms and Enterococcus is usually needed, and highly recommended.
Luce Air Quality will take a combination of on-site bacteria samples – air, wipe and bulk samples – and will offer complete data analysis and interpretation of the cultured samples (results usually take 24-48 hours) taken from all areas affected by the contaminated water. Next we will develop recommendations for remediation following the standards set by the IICRC / S500 Standard for Water Damaged Restoration and will do a post water damage restoration assessment to confirm that the water damage restoration was successful so that containment barriers can be taken down and reconstruction can begin.
